Dr Rivers

Once the IWCCG has decided which services it needs to buy to meet the healthcare needs of the Island, it has one of three options in how to proceed, namely:

  • Tender for the service
  • Any Qualified Provider (AQP)
  • Collaboration (where do not proceed with tender of AQP)

Any qualified provider AQP is a  procurement process which enables providers to qualify to provide a specified service for a given price. Any provider who meets the qualification criteria can provide the service. This process is used to enable patients to have a choice of community services provider, where quality has been assured and the provider has a contract which is awarded with the NHS.
