Gluten-Free Foods

The Isle of Wight (IW) Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Governing Body at its meeting on December 22, 2016, approved a proposal to remove gluten-free food prescribing through the NHS on the island from April 2017.  This means that the receipt of gluten free food through the Wight Bread scheme will cease on 1st April 2017 for all patients with diagnosed coeliac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis.
