Public Consultations

The IWCCG is working to ensure it engages and consults with stakeholders, patients, the wider public and partnership organisations in the shaping and development of its commissioning decisions. This can be in developing or refreshing the IWCCG annual commissioning strategy, or even getting a wider perspective on a service improvement project.

In many cases a public consultation will be about a local issue, however it can also be about issues where regional (e.g. NHS England or a regional care network) or a national body (e.g. the Department of Health) are seeking views.

Living Well With a Learning Disability on the Isle of Wight

The new learning disabilities draft strategy for the Isle of Wight has been published. The "Living well with a learning disability on the Isle of Wight" document is the result of work by the Partnership Group, which includes our CCG, the Trust, and the council. There has also been extensive work with the Learning Disability Partnership Group, People First, People Matter and Parents Voice Isle of Wight so that they could help to 'co-produce' the strategy.

The draft focuses on:

• being an active part of the community;

• having the care and support needed in the home;

• supporting people to meet the outcomes they want to achieve.

The draft is out for public consultation, and a final document will be published in April. Everyone can get involved and submit feedback.You can view the full document, an Easy Read version, and submit feedback here. You can also join us on 29th January 2018 at the West Wight Sports Centre between 10am - 12pm to speak to us directly and share your views.
